A clone that comes with a fidelity score

From a saved project, designlang generates component definitions, renders them next to the source page, pixel-compares each one and repairs the weak ones for up to three rounds. You get the kit and the number that was measured.

Two page frames side by side. The right one is a clone with a dashed region marked for repair, and a score badge reading 0 to 100.SourceCloneFidelity 0 to 100

How it works

From a saved project to a result, in four steps.

  1. Start from a project

Pick a project with a snapshot. The source page is read again, and the measured tokens and component styles are the only input.

  2. Generate

A model writes component definitions inside a fixed vocabulary of CSS properties. Anything outside it is dropped.

  3. Render and compare

Each component is rendered in a local browser and pixel-diffed against the source, and the score is measured, not estimated.

  4. Repair and download

Components under 90 are repaired for up to three rounds, and a repair only counts if it beats the best so far. Download the kit as a Tailwind and React repository.

Where it helps

Prototypes

Know how close a starting point really is before building on it.

Migrations

Check a rebuilt page against the old one.

Handoff

Attach a number to “matches the site”.

Limits. The kit covers components the page shows, not whole pages. Independent benchmarks say clone tools are not pixel-accurate, so the score is the measured number and a component with nothing to compare against is shown without one. Ten credits are returned if no kit comes out.

Questions, answered

What do I get?
A kit of components with a measured fidelity score each, a gallery to preview them, and a download with the code. The free CLI has designlang verify and designlang fidelity for scoring a clone you made yourself.
What happens if it fails?
The ten credits are returned on any failure that leaves no kit: the source could not be read, the model call failed, the time ran out or the result could not be saved.
What does it need?
A project with a snapshot and 10 credits. Free accounts have 3 runs, so a kit needs a paid plan or enough credits.
How many can run at once?
One kit at a time per account, and six an hour.
